K-Line Type Irrigation Systems

Invented by Waimate farmer, Jon Kirk after thirty years of experimenting with traditional water systems it is a simple, efficient, cost effective irrigation system, suitable for water or effluent application.
The K-Line system is a series of small sprinklers housed in protective plastic pods and attached to polythene pipes that are run above the ground. Fast gaining popularity for its low capital and running costs, key advantages of the K-Line are:
- A 'slow-feed' water system, like natural rain, for even distribution & high water utilisation
- Very easy to install with low capital and running costs
- Fast and easy to shift by dragging the system from an ATV with a specialised trailer
- Suitable for hilly terrain and 'interesting' shaped paddocks
The K-Line system is not suitable for most cropping situations as they cause too much damage during shifting.
ADL supply both the traditional K-Line brand and the newer Irripod brand which allows for wider sprinkler spacing or wider line spacing.
Irripod provide a cost effective pipeline irrigation system designed to operate at low pressure. Water is distributed slowly by absorption over a 12 or 24 hour period. The system can be moved easily by attaching the lines to your farm system and only needs to be moved once in a 12 or 24 hour period.
IrripodPlus offers a high level of flexibility so you can configure IrripodPlus to suit your paddock size and conditions.
